notes
Claude Chichon was born in Paris in 1966. Since 1984 he has been living in Denmark where he has been singing and playing with Jorge Cordero. A Cuban musician with a the group called Jorge Cordeso y Team Latino.
Now Claude Chichon has made his first soloalbum, which is a mixt between the classical french singingtradition from names like Jacques Brel, Georges Brassens and Leo Ferré, and some of the cuban spirit from salsa.
Claude Chichon is a characteristic singer who has a fine and well played orcestre behind him.
With names like Emir Bosnjak, your thoughts are taken by the accordion towards the Parisian Musette on songs like the beautiful “Paris”. The album is a homage to his district, Family and the life in his teanage years in Paris.
The atmosphere in the songs are changing from romantic pianoballades to musette or swinging uptempo salsasongs with hornsection and full power percussion.
No doubt that Claude Chichon and his orcester will be a ball live.
