notes
4th album
I made this one after having lost my second "never born" baby (citomegalovirus victim).I felt very down and writing music helped me. I had not a proper band. Here and there some friends joined in and recorded their parts. I am first of all a singer, I always pretend to be also a guitarist and bass player, and I'm used to play piano and keyboards, but in this case I played a lot of drums too. And this is too much. Twisted rhythm, they say. It's really a single album. I think it's my best one.
XTC, Led Zeppelin, Utopia, Beatles, Bowie, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, Minus Five, Flaming Lips, Motorpsycho, Pink Floyd, Barrett; Metheny are the guides.
songs styles:
1) “Peace Today”: (single remix) Lennon voice, XTC Mc Cartney chorus, Bowie “Fame” guitar/ bass.
2) “Loveen”: XTC + Metheny Luciano Poli with jazzy trumpets. I love trumpets.
3) “Lost My baby Child (p. 1)”: Syd Barrett and Pink F. dedicated to my daughter Giorgia who never came to life (Down syndrome: "stopped" by the doctors)
4) “Wrong Address” p.1: Abbey Road Paul&John
5) “Sea Shell”: acoustic guitars and voices (from Ami Lowell poem. Mixed by my old mate Pierangelo.
6) “Wrong Address p. 2”: White Album Beatles - John & Paul. I love it.
7) “Afternoon in The Colony”: Beach Boys meet the Beatles. Song against colonialism.
8) “Rock Oil men”: Bowie plus Rolling Stones strong rock. Song against rock oil colonialism (again)
9) “Wrong Address p. 3”: Beatles “You know my name”
10) “The Other Side Of Mars”: Pink Floyd. Song against colonialism (again again)
11) “Apples”: White Album 29th song. Dedicated to the Beatles. I did'nt know about the Badfinger one!
12) “Astard Heeby-Jeebies”: Guitar Rock. Sex Pistols air. Song against kamikazes.
13) “Jesus Loves Everyone”: plan old Rhythm &Blues. I wish some Christian church people sang it.
14) “ Wrong Address p. 4”: Beatles You know my name style.
15) “Lost my Baby Child (p. 2): David Gilmour and Lou Reed. Dedicated to my son Marco who never came to life (citomegalovirus)
