notes
Clatterbone plays adrenalized Celtic rock featuring Highland bagpipes, guitar, bass, and drums. Clatterbone aims to create a fast-paced, energetic, original sound by combining the traditional Celtic genre with an unapologetically rock rhythm section.
Clatterbone's first release, "With A Twisted Grin" is a hyper-energized collection of traditional and original material played hard and fast.
KSER 90.7 FM's David MacFarlane said about Clatterbone:
"ClatterBone is one of the best new Celtic rock groups I've heard" and "I have seen ClatterBone perform live several times, and each time they literally brought the house down! People were pounding the tables and stomping their feet, shouting, 'More, more!'"

Winner of Erin's 2005 5 dollar bin CD contest. Each year I buy a stack of 5 dollar CD's and this one topped the list. Fun hard pounding celtic Rock with a nice balence of styles. Raquay's Dust won 2004's contest.
Good fun, enthusiastic, worth the price of admission
author: valleGood fun, it felt as if they enjoyed making the CD, though not perfect, part of the appeal, it certainly beats the overly thought out, processed pap of mainstream radio. I especially enjoyed their enthusiastic rendition of Black Leg Miner and Follow Me to Carlow. I'd give their next CD a listen.
Amazing and fun! Can't get it out of your head!
author: ElizabethWonderful album! I haven't gone one day without listening to it since it arrived. It makes you want to dance all night!
Really fun to listen too.
author: DarenThis CD is a lot of fun to listen to, especially Whiskey Watered Dow. I think if you involve bagpipes in your music, you have to have at least one song start with a barroom discussion. :) Ironman and Burning Sands (very relevant with current world events) are also really great.
FABULOUS
author: Christiana NutterFoot stomping, swinging good time. Bagpipes meet punk. Soulful Burning Sands even more applicable today than when written about (I am assuming) the Desert Storm time. Highly recommend, however, you should have a love of bagpipes.
A toe-tappin' knee thumpin' good time!
author: KarenThis Cd is a great blend of many different influences measured well against the traditional Irish musical flare for catchy tunes and energetic rhythms.
I think that this CD is amazing!! I love it. It was Irish folk with a twist!

Real authentic Irish music mixed with today's sound, really great!
author: LORII liked the music on this CD because it was different. It is not your everyday dull Irish songs. It has a kick to it and keeps you dancing.
