CJ and The Hotmess Co. is a side project of American guitarist Colin John, New Zealand drummer Evan Jenkins and English bassist, Jeff Walker.
If you like your blues raw and stripped down to its primal organic essence then you will love this album. It was produced by veteran guitar fx guru, Roger Mayer, the man responsible for Jimi Hendrix', Ernie Isley and Bob Marley's(amongst others) guitar sounds.
The album was recorded in England in a funky old manor house, direct to disc with no overdubs or studio sweetening.
The cd features the jazzy and firm drumming of Evan Jenkins(White Buffalo),the funky bass of Jeff Walker(Mr. Hermano)and the raucous guitar and vocal funk of guitar supremo Colin John(the Colin John Band)
