ALOHA.
I would like to take this chance to tell you about a beautiful young singer from the Hawaiian Island of Kauai.I met Cindy Jackson in Kauai in March of 2003.in a little tavern called the Nawili-wili in Lihue where I heard her sing a variety of songs including songs by Bonnie Rait,the Judds,Patsy Cline and many others.When I listened to her sing with a voice that was pure and clean I knew in my heart that she had that special sound that people could take to .
Cindy had been involved in school plays ,drama and musical all through high school
from which she graduated in 1999. also she had entered beauty contest like Miss Hawaii and did very well because of her talent.and beauty
Cindy and I recorded her first album in the summer of 2003 and then we went to Nashville where Cindy impressed some very accomplished songwriters,like Tommy Barnes,Earl Clark,just to mention a couple .Everyone that heard Cindy sing was very impressed.Cindy sit in with most all the bands on broadway in Nashvile and was always ask to come back as they also loved her voice.
Recently Cindys CD was put for sale in Borders books and music in Kauai and also is being played on KONG Radio in Kauai Plus Cindy met Charlie Garrett of KHCM Station in Honolulu where they are also still playing her record.Mr.Garrett is known as mr. country in Hawaii as KHCM is heard through all the Hawaiian Islands and he is the man personally responsible for keeping country music alive in Hawaii today
