notes

Cinderpop return with their third album complete with the chiming guitars, swirly vocals, and “heaven-sent harmonies and Sloan-sized hooks...” (Georgia Straight). Here is another set of eclectic songs that refuse to leave your head from the group that sports members of Bend Sinister, The Salteens, Moev and Sk Robot.

A Lesson in Science jumps from the crazed rock urgency of the opening track “Bumblebee” straight into the piano and horn-based Beatlesque music hall of the title track and directly around another corner for the next song. As with their earlier records, you never know what to expect from song to song.

Cinderpop have been an integral part of a vibrant Vancouver indie-scene since their 1st album, Violet Gamma Rays was released in 2000.
Following this came their 2nd acclaimed album, Their Skies Are Beautiful which was released in the U.K., the U.S., Spain and Sweden in 2005 with their video for the song Bastian Cooper directed by Chris Hooper. Heavy rotation on satellite radio and stellar shows at the Pop Montreal
and the Pop Overthrow festivals cemented their standing as one of the acts to watch or in the upcoming year.
