Chuck Ferrari was born in San Jose, California. He currently resides in Bend, Oregon. His songs are about his travels and experiences all across the Pacific Northwest and other parts of the world. Chuck is happy to present the single, Modern Day Hero. This song is a tribute to heroic actions. All proceeds will be donated to The Pat Tillmand Foundations and Heroic Choices (formerly the Todd Beamer Foundation).
The Story Behind Modern Day Hero
This song was inspired by two events that came to a head at one time and one place. I was on a work assignment in Porto Alegre, Brazil when I heard of Pat Tillman's death. I instanly thought of how much he gave up and the strength it took. I then thought about the events of 9/11, the courageous actions of the people on United Airlines flight 93 and the words of Todd Beamer. The lyrics came easy. This song was inspired by two famous evens, but is a tribute to all heroic actions.
