Chuck Allen was born 1940 in New Braunfels, Texas, and grew up in various Texas cities. He spent 6 years in the military. Two years in Texas National Guard and 4 years in the US Air Force. Later became self empoyed as an insurance agent.
He wrote his first song at 16 years of age. He has performed with Homestead Pickers, Branson, MO. He has played on Music Row in Nashville and currently performs monthly at The Grove, Texas and Liberty Hill under the band name Cocklebur Country.
