Incredible all around production!
author: IrishI bought the CD because I heard about it on a website (Hypography.com). I also bought it because my brother and his daughter lost everything in Katrina. It was supposed to be just about helping out the cause. Then I got it and was so impressed, that I bought another copy for my brother. They sent it straight to him (he's back in the Big Easy now) and he loved it as well. The mix of styles was amazing. I'm listening to "Brief Relief" by Kovacs now, and it is exactly that - a relief to know that such talented musicians can band together and devote their energies and talents to such an amazingly worthwhile cause!
Excellent Compilation Of International Artists
author: Dr. TechnicalEven apart from the wonderful cause this CD serves, I recommend this CD to anyone interested in exploring contemporary music from around the world. I understand this was put together by the artists themselves without help from commercial record labels. Kudos to them, it's highly professional in all aspects and includes a wide array of musical styles, moods and emotions: seamlessly melded into a pleasureable and singular listening experience. I commend those responsible for this delightful CD, and can't recommend it more highly.
A great effort by all musicians - an enjoyable and diverse CD set.
author: CJI was listening to the CD during my early morning commute and as "Epsilon in a New Orleans Pale" began to play, a bright sunrise suddenly unfolded before me. The song, by emdot_ambient, along with "Paradise", by Bluedad & Horse, were perfect songs to accompany a beautiful sunrise. The blending of nature and music was appropriate since an act of nature was the reason for the existence of the CD. I enjoyed listening to the diverse artists. The CDs reflect a great effort by all of the musicians.
Suprisingly good
author: TobbenI actually bought this just to support the case, but must admit I am severely impressed by the professional level of this compilation. From the track selection to the mastering, it is a completely "different" experience than anything else I own. There are perhaps a couple of duds here but I find myself listening to this album over and over. It is great to see so much talent thrown together to support a good cause.
Bravo! The diversity of the music gave the two disks freshness and great interes
author: Eunice W. HinckleyYour CD was well put together, the manner in which you mixed the music made the cd pleasant and not tiring. Your whole operation sounds very professional the way you follow up on the order. That shows attention to details.. Best of luck to your organization in the future and your aid to Katrina Fund. Eunice W. Hindkley
Great CDs!
author: KeithThe styles on this cd range from ambient to blues and I love everything that falls within it. From chillout tunes such as emdot_ambient's tune and ttoz's tune to straight out rock like Van Greco's tune or Glooper's tune, you have a broad, stylistic representation on these discs. I would urge you to play the hifi version if you have broadband to really get a feel for the diversity of music styles presented here. For $25 you can't beat this offer! Every cd sale generates $21 for Katrina victims and you get a professionally produced double cd for your donation!
Impressive!!
author: CableguyThis double cd, full of different music styles, delivers very good melodies and atmospheres. This compilation has an emphasis on electronica/downtempo but that's what i like best, anyway! Even the rock tracks that are not my style of music, are really very good! The bottom line: A Great double cd for a great cause! Totally recommended!
