notes

A veteran of the Indie music scene, San Diego
based singer/songwriter Christopher Cash
combines the defiant character of post-punk,
alternative favorites like the Psychedelic Furs
and Wall of Voodoo with the sparkle and polish
of today’s Euro-pop giants like Interpol and
Snow Patrol. A veteran of the Indie music
scene, California native Cash has been in
countless bands since the 80’s, including The
Privates, Gadflies, The Intelligence, and
Wobblewire.

Now with producer and San Diego favorite
Jeff Berkley, Cash has released his
second album titled “Invisible”. Recorded
with his regular performing band, the result is
a sparkling, yet rootsy blend of guitars and
classic keyboards providing the foundation
for some great stories of metaphorical
transparency reminiscent of bands like
Counting Crows, and Tom Petty. In 2005,
Cash’s earlier solo album “Hollywood Mirage”
impressed critics:“Hollywood Mirage skillfully
blends expert storytelling, crisp production,
and the illusive soul of this famous city to
form a rich work of art.”

The four-piece Christopher Cash Band is a tight,
fun-loving band of veteran Southern California
players who makes their songs’ tales come alive.
Christopher Cash also thrives playing in a solo,
coffeehouse setting where fans can really
appreciate the depth of emotion and humanity
possible with simply a guitar and a story.

Wow! Brand new, but oh so familiar. The great musical influences of our time - modernized with wonderful lyrics set to rocking music. It had me singing along and keeping time - and especially admiring the original genius in the words. Where do the ideas come from for songs like "Houdini Knew"? The variety of entertaining songs and the desire of the artist to share an intimate and emotional ride made this CD a best buy!

  • Love it!

I admit I'm biased but I love this CD. The songs are fantastic. Cash is a great songwriter. The CD is extremely well done and Jeff Berkley did a great job as producer and also added some amazing guitar work throughout. This one will be on my playlist for a long time.
