notes

Her pure and crystal clear voice and her versatility permit her to pass from popular music to jazz, from soul to rock and uniquely enough, from opera to musical comedy.

If you ask her mom when she started singing, she will tell you that Christine was born singing.
Her parents recognized her talent at the ripe young age of two. Recordings of her very first talent show will attest to her ability to learn each and every word and note of every song from the albums sung on key.

However, her parents were not her only influences…actually it was also her grandmother’s fault!
Every year for the Christmas Holidays, she and her parents would drive to the eastern townships to be with the whole family on her grandmother’s side. Everyone would gather around the old automatic piano and take turns pedaling away the rolls of music while singing those beautiful tunes from the 1920’s and 30’s…It’s a sin to tell a lie, Oh! How I miss you tonight, Deep in my heart, Dear…and the list goes on.

As Christine grew up, her musical interests expanded to include pop, rock and jazz, but nothing seemed to stick inside her heart as much as that wonderful music that most had forgotten about.

At the age of eight, she started lyrical singing lessons with Micheline René who recognized her talent and enrolled her in numerous competitions in which Christine prevailed over other contestants. Her influences extended to include Joan Sutherland, Mirella Fremi and Barbra Streisand.
Next came Ella Fitzgerald, Cleo Lane, Duke Ellington and Linda Rondstat. Through grandma it was Nat King Cole, Rosemary Clooney, Cole Porter, Bing Crosby and Doris Day.

She has honed her talent with the Metropolitan Orchestra, the Maurier Concert Stage Canadian Tour, the renowned show From Rock to Opera and numerous civic and private prestigious social events throughout North America. Her musical career was sprinkled with stardust when she shared the performance stage with her renowned hero Michael Bublé.
