Album Notes

The Oakridge Boys, The Everly Brothers, and KC and the Sunshine Band are just a few of the groups Chris Krause heard as a toddler that sparked a love for music that would ultimately turn into a passion. He began singing at the tender age of 2 in church and later throughout his school years. Encouragement from friends and family led him in the pursuit of music as more than a hobby. Chris responded to this encouragement with appearances on Easter Seals telethons in 1992 and 1993. This began a string of performances at bars, weddings, funerals, private parties, and charity fundraisers in the years that followed. Those years were highlighted by a talent showcase on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. The passion to perform remained strong but Chris realized if he wanted any kind of shot at getting into the music business, he needed to write songs. During a 4 year hiatus from performing, some hard lessons learned and several years of heartache, he penned a handful of original songs. Soon thereafter, recollecting the past and looking for direction, Chris recommitted his life to Jesus Christ. God very soon answered prayers and opened doors in both worship music and country music. In 2005, Chris led a contemporary praise band at his church. He also won the title of Kountry Klub Idol 2005 at Nashville North USA in Taylorville, IL. Chris has opened for national recording artists Julie Roberts and Andy Griggs. Late in 2006, Chris released his Nashville recorded, debut CD appropriately titled, “No Pain, No Gain”. He wrote or co-wrote every song on it. Most recently in June 2007, Chris was named the Illinois Country Music Association's New Male Vocalist and the Songwriter of the Year - Gospel for his #4 track "The Rest". Chris performs at Opry type venues and churches throughout Illinois and Missouri.
