notes
Most of this music was written on the banks of the Mulberry River located in the Boston Mountains of Northwest Arkansas.
There is a mix of blues, rock, folk, and gospel throughout the CD.
"87 years" was written for my Great Aunt, Dot Watson, who had a heart attack at the age of 87. We had to move her into assisted care living and divide her belongings (a house full of a long life) between the functional family members. In other words, we were distributing her belongings as if she had died. This was a very eye opening time for me. I had to drive the Ryder Van carrying 87 years of her life to the rest of my family.
Many of the other songs are much more joyful in spirit.
"Prayin' for Rain" and "Let it Rain Down" are pleas to God to make it rain on the river.
The Mulberry River is a down-stream river and requires rainfall to bring it to life for us crazy whitewater junkies.
These songs are also a tribute to the wonderful people I float with who love to share this wonderful creation by the river and campfire.
"Soul Highway" is a tribute to the Mulberry.
"Eyes of a Green Thumb" has a surplus of meaning but was inspired by my garden.
The rest of the CD comes from similar "life" experiences or thoughts.
I hope you enjoy this work, which is now in its third printing!
Thank you, Chip.

Let It Rain Rocks!
author: Jay HansenChip Andrus is the quintessent of what you wish from a singer/song writer. He is a gifted musician/singer and has the soul and heart to write songs that speak to the audience.

author: Johnny MacWorth getting. All of the songs are well written. This guy should be in Nashville.
If you love music, you need this CD
author: DrewOne of the best small artists that I have heard in a long time. Every song has obvious meaning to the writer, and there is great emotion and passion in every word that is sung. The writing is brilliant, I find myself wanting to harmonize along with him when I listen to this CD in my car (which is almost all the time). My personal favorites on the album are tracks 2,4,7, and 9. While these are my favorites, that doesn't mean that the rest of the songs aren't great. I would reccommend this CD to all of my friends (and I do frequently). You will not be dissapointed.
