notes
Chemical Wedding is a Seattle three-piece founded by former members of innovative rock bands like Room 13, One Against Five, and Buzzfactor. Their 11 Song CD (2007), produced by Jack Endino, is at once a seething wall of sound, an exercise in punchy songwriting, and a seamless integration of melody, riff, and power that is in fact this band’s unmistakable signature.
"Chemical Wedding takes its name from the 16th Century alchemical text, "Die Chymische Hochzeit des Christian Rosenkreutz" - and in invoking alchemy as a trope, the band has nothing other in mind than transmuting raw sound into a monolith of sheer sonic heaviness". - DJ BradMF, San Francisco
"These songs get stuck in your head." - Jack Endino
If you like your music targeted at the body as much as the brain, targeted at the somatic interface of raw sensation and nerve ending, then Chemical Wedding is your psychotropic passport to a new experience of sound.
Chemical Wedding is Certified Heavy.

Guaranteeeeeed!
author: DogmaThe Chemical Wedding CD is a high-water mark not just for rock, but for pure sonic intensity and just soaring tonality. The drummer is positively acrobatic, the guitar tone & riffage will fully part your hair, and the bass retrieves color by going as low thumpin low as Bill Laswell. Chemical Wedding may be driven by warpin' guitar riff, but there are many elements that complete the image: great vocal melody and textured harmonies, thunderous drums and bass, dynamic breaks that you'd give your left nut to be a part of. Check It Out! For in your face: Matador. For pure song: Rocksalt Taste. For Driving: Contact.
