notes
Chaz’s songs are filled with love, joy, laughter, wonder, sharing & caring. His "Hello, My Friend" album is multi-genre but folk-focused, and instrumentally varied (acoustic guitars, electric bass, keyboard, recorders, mandolin, miscellaneous percussion, harmonized vocals, and occasional sound effects). This album is a keeper to be shared from generation to generation. Educational, uplifting, thoughtful and fun.
“Every child should have a copy of Chaz’s album,” commented one of Chaz’s friends/clients (music student parent) who for several years has given a copy of "Hello, My Friend" to parents of newborns.
Chaz is a folk singer / songwriter / music teacher (guitar, piano/keyboards, electric bass, recorders, drumset, banjo, mandolin, harmonica). His greatest musical influences were folk singers of the 60’s & 70’s: Kingston Trio, Brothers Four, Peter Paul & Mary, Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel, Gordon Lightfoot, John Denver, James Taylor, and others. Father of four and husband of a day care provider, he’s had a ready audience for his kids' songs for a couple of decades.

(used with his permission):
I think your “Hello, My Friend” CD is a real winner.
The music and your voice appeals to all ages, twerps, toddlers, teenagers and adults, all alike. There’’s something for everyone. What it does for a guy like me, who’’s 75 years old, is make me want to celebrate life in the most wonderful way because you trigger a feeling of joy at just simply being alive. You talk about life from a very young child’s standpoint and in that way put meaning to our very existence in a way that is so pure and beautiful that your words and music makes all of us appreciate being one of God’s creatures - for you put existential meaning to each of our lives in a most delightful sort of way.
Your portrayal of how children may see the world through their eyes causes me to want to sing-a-long with you while holding a little boy and girl’s hand and dancing with glee and laughter at what you so vividly express through your singing and music. Your love and appreciation for what God has given your own life as well as everyone else whose lives you touch is such an uplifting and joyous experience.
What a gift you give the world.
Thank you so much.
