notes
From producer Liz Meyer's liner notes: "In the 1950's, the Louvin Brothers, Ira and Charlie, created a sensation in the country music world with their gospel songs and sentimental ballads and unique vocal harmony style. Very few artists have had the sort of impact that the Louvin Brothers made in country music. Their legendary close harmony sound lives on through its unmistakable influence on countless younger artists, from the Everly Brothers to the present. "Charlie Louvin still carries on the fine Louvin songwriting tradition today... And it's wonderful to see Charlie returning to his roots and performing these timeless Louvin Brothers' classics in the old style."
