notes

"No one can take our dreams away from us.... no one." Twenty-three and living in Nashville, TN, a dream is being lived out through the eyes of Chad Harris. In March of 2007, Chad Harris pulled aside the curtain with the release of his first EP in six years. This second solo EP shows Chad's musical growth and journey over the past years by writing songs that depict his highs, lows, and everything in between. Chad leaves nothing unsaid, and wants to have more than just good songs. Chad wants listeners to feel his pain, share his joys, and relate to every word. His melodic chords and powerful lyrics make perfect sense that drive a sound into the listeners head leaving an echoing impression. In 2004, Chad moved to Nashville, TN. Not long after he was there, he formed the rock band Roswell. After nearly two years of fronting the band, he again decided to pursue a solo career. The interesting thing about Chad's music is that it's influenced by so many different genres. But, somehow he finds himself keeping a sound that is unique. Music has been Chad's stronghold and passion his entire life. "If there is one thing I want my music to do, it's to reach people, even if it's only one person. I want it to help them get through things, because that's what music has done for me." As a singer/songwriter with a rockband feel, Chad is starting all over again. He's started a new path with a steep incline, but intends to find the top. Chad's pursuit isn't for fame and fortune, but merely for respect and to do what he loves. "If you want to know about me, how I feel, or what I've been through, then just listen to my songs." After debuting on Itunes on April 23rd, Chad's self entitled EP has been his greatest accomplishment since his move to Nashville, or even possibly his entire music career. His trials and tribulations over just the past couple of years have driven him to release his inner feelings on this CD, leaving him naked standing infront of the world. "The thing that I've realized over the past few years is that anyone can write a song. But not everyone lives what they write about...... I do. It's the only way that I can really justify my feelings. The release that I feel through forcing the emotions out of my mouth and into the ears of others is sometimes the only thing that makes any sense to me." The first track on the enhanced CD, "Ghost of You" is not only an emotional song that describes his overall sound, but goes further by revealing who Chad really is with a music video. 2008 is fortuned to be an event filled year for Chad Harris. In addition to his recent EP release, he has jumped head first back into the music scene scheduled to play shows in Nashville, Texas, California, and Indiana as well as radio tours and performances at NASCAR races. Keep an eye out for Chad and an ear out for his music. He has dreams that will leave him restless until they're fullfilled.

  • Solid music and soul-baring lyrics with a positive spin.

Musicians are constantly handing me their CDs to listen to. By receiving them, I feel obliged to listen to at least one song and a few seconds of the others. If something really grabs me, I listen longer. I think it's enough to say that I've already worn out the CD Chad gave me. I absolutely love it. Chad, you will be on top of the rock charts some day! I know you'll handle it well and glorify God.
