notes

After a year of songwriting, New York transplants Rick Bolander and Mike McCabe decide to turn the songs into a band. Under the moniker Cerulean (named after The Ocean Blue's second full-length), they join producer John Chamberlin to record their first album over the course of six months at Chamberlin's Sonic Studios. Named after the substantial influence of Southern California's coastline and skies, Cerulean releases "Skylight" in January 1999.

-----------

'Skylight' is a shining harbinger of the band's vision and potential with several tracks specifically calling out the direction the band would go for their future work.
