Celeste has recently been selected as Artist of the Month for December 2008 on The Starliners Internet Radio Network, in The Netherlands, where on December 15th she was showcased on the "Independent Artists Special" with DJ Harry, 5pm CET, 11am EST.

Harry aired the complete "Every Tear I Know" CD, in addition to Celeste's latest single for the holidays, "A Baby Was Born" in the one hour program broadcast across the Netherlands and Great Britain, in addition to being streamed live on the Internet.

Singer-songwriter and composer Celeste Friedman reveals the country-rock and rockabilly part of her soul in this latest collection of classic, deep-down in your heart sentiments. Rich in memorable melodies and tenderly crafted lyrics, Celeste unveils her own battles between hope and heartache.

The first single, "Another Rock In My Shoe" topped the chart at Number One on Peter Anderl's program, "Gospel and Country", featured on Radio Maria- AUSTRIA for the week of September 9, 2007.

Celeste's "Every Tear I Know" CD reached Number 4 on "Highway 61", hosted by Massimo Ferro on Radio Voce Spazio for the week of August 26, 2007.

By the first week of December, 2007, Celeste's single, "Nothin' That I Wouldn't Do For You" fell smack dab in the middle of Martina McBride and Gretchen Wilson in the Top 30 for the "Rockin' Boy Saloon", hosted by Jacques DuFour on Radio Lyon1, France.

Celeste's single, "Wild Horses" was chosen as one of the 50 featured songs from 50 songwriters from the USA to be a part of a compilation CD, "All States All Stars", shipped to our troops during the summer of 2007.

The title track, "Every Tear I Know" is featured in the award winning indie film, “Veronika’s Birthday”, produced and directed by Jessica Burstein.

Critically acclaimed as a prolific songwriter and passionate performer, composer Celeste Friedman leaves you inspired as well as entertained.

Nominated for a GRAMMY Award in 2005 and the winner of the 2005 Ohioana Library Citation Award in Music and Education, Ms. Friedman's contributions have been recognized by The Points of Light Foundation, The Ohio State University, Voices of Hope, The Ohio Bicentennial Commission and the Department of Education of The State of New York. For her music works featured in both 1995 and 1997 MDA Telethons, Celeste is the recipient of two Pat Weaver Award nominations.

The granddaughter of a big-band leader, Celeste has been inspired by classical composers, a variety of popular songwriter/artists and a countless list of modern film composers. Her bravado as a lyricist is boundless.

Over the past fifteen years, Friedman has been a featured songwriter at the famed Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. National media credits include National Public Radio, Music Choice, A Prairie Home Companion and the ESPN Network. Internationally her music has garnered global airplay and rave reviews.

In 2006, Friedman's music was featured in the Pulitzer Prize nominated play, "The Glory of Living", on stage at the Warehouse Theater in Washington, D.C., directed by Michael Chamberlin.
In 2008, Friedman's work in the short film, "Young Folks" was showcased in Festival de Cannes.
