Cool Dry Place is an eclectic mix of powerful, spacey, moody, groove-based pop and rock. It has a powerful push to it which includes the vibe of hard rock and listenability of pop. Instrumentation, catchy melodies, meaningful lyrics, and driving beats are blended together to get the listener involved as a part of the music. We reach all types of listeners with our music because it has something for everyone to connect with.

Just like most people, we are into a lot of different styles of music. Also like many others, we feel that the music today is pretty much running backward instead of moving forward. All that we are really trying to do is bring music back to where it should be, good rock 'n' roll tunes with passion and musicality.

Our music is a definite mix of our influences. The members of CDP have always been enthralled with the mystical quality of bands such as Pink Floyd and U2. Also, intense music such as Tori Amos to pure heavy metal like Slayer has been commonly found in our cd players. And of course, we have been into our share of classic rock. What we are trying to do is bring back the whole package like it used to be. We are very interested in playing to the best of our ability to make sure we as musicians are proud of our work, while adding the catchiness lyrically and musically so the non-musician is still taken in by the sounds.

    I heard CDP play at a bar once in Detroit, and I was blown away. Now that I am able to own a copy of "A Conscious Act", I feel I am being led to a higher consciousness when I listen to it. The intense grooves of the bass lift you to a better place, and the unique and passionate voice of the lead singer makes you want to cry and love at the same time. And that is just the music! The lyrics speak a truth that hits every heart. This cd is a 'must buy'...

    Well well well... what can I say. This CD is just great. It's filled with new sounds of different music. Its a terrific CD, and it will never bore you. Most of the songs are really good, and not many CD's have that. Keep up the great effort guys!!

    Wow, the lead singer's voice is very different but awesome. This cd sounds like 3 Doors Down but heavier, Pearl Jam but more mellow, and Candlebox all together. This cd is SWEET! Mrs. Lublin rox on bass! :)

    This is a great CD. It's strong from start to finish. It's not like so many other CDs that have 1 or 2 good songs, and the rest are just filler. ALL 10 songs are radio-worthy. It's good to know that people are still out there trying to make worthwhile music.

    Cool Dry Place "A Conscious Act" has so much passion! This is what I expect to hear on the radio. The songs have catchiness, but are really complex - they don't just go through the same lame setup that so many songs have. Cool Dry Place is definately the next wave of music.
