HOPE is a musical offering to benefit the Childrens' Burns Initiative, a project helping to share state-of-the-art pediatric burn expertise with clinics in Asia, Africa, and Latin America that so badly need it. The project was inspired by a small Chinese farmer girl named Zhou Lin who had been burned from the waist down in a tragic kerosene explosion. She was brought to Boston Shriners Hospital for reconstructive surgery by HandReach, a nonprofit organization that sponsors educational development projects in rural areas of China. As the doctors and nurses at Shriners taught Zhou Lin to walk again, she quietly asked the question, "But what about all the other kids in the world who have no hope at all?" This CD project is a gift from Boston-area musicians to help fund Zhou Lin's dream that no child in the world, no matter how burned or disfigured, should ever be without hope.
