Sinzibukwud (pure Fagel syrup)

CD IN STOCK. ORDER NOW. Will ship immediately.
As a whole, the disc has an esoteric, one-guy-in-a-basement feel, but at the same time could be the soundtrack to a well-attended backyard BBQ, chock full of of saucey ribs, smoke and volleyball.

author: Yates DewSINZIBUKWUD (pure Fagel Syrup) is an outcropping and logical extension of the work that would only come from pure introspection, much time and effort, and strong desires to stay true to the ear inside your big-fat and brilliant head. (I know there’s lots of shit going on in there).
It shows many faces
author: Grilch"...Drink Fool 69 12-pack is far and away my favorite track. Just the mood of it is delicious. Tom Waits backed by Stu Hamm..."

It was all wonderful and very groovy
author: Here Comes Everybody"René and I finally gave it our first listen yesterday afternoon and I must say that we had a most splendid time! All kinds of great stuff there. A beautiful collection of some very whacky and wonderful goodies..."
Unique in its skewed pathos and solid in its musicianship.
author: Todd R. MortonThis is a great disc for a long drive and a pair of headphones. The recording from a technical perspective is very clean, clear and solid. Very easy to listen to. The mood/atmosphere of the disc is unique. Makes me feel like I'm in a Douglas Adams novel on peyote buttons or I'm in Pleasantville in the year 2050 and half the town's residents have mated with aliens from outerspace. The disc is not, however, just weird for weird's sake. It's got roots. There are distinct elements of Franks Zappa and Jack Bruce, for instance. Frank for the unconventional style and Jack because the artist, Adam Fagelson (hence the parenthetical title, "pure Fagel syrup") is a terrific bassist. With a carefully placed drum machine and some very organic bass playing, the album moves forward with a lip-pursing groove. This is a creative album of skewed pathos from a thoughtful and skilled creator who leaves nothing to chance.
