The guys started out their professional career while still in Middle School and High School, There first professional performance was with the legendary Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes f/ Teddy Pendergrass & The Spinners. The group appeared in the world famous "Right On! Magazine" in 1978 and was interviewed by Cynthia Horner. Cash, first single "There Is You" was release in 1978 and recorded in Los Angeles, CA. with Al Ramirez of Greedy Records. The flip side of the single was entitled "I Love You Still" and during Cash recording session in LA the group had a special guest appearance from Soul Train's Don Cornelius who welcome the guys to LA, at the session Don Cornelius and radio personality J.J. Johnson recorded the hand claps on the song "I Love You Still". Cash performed in Kingston Jamaica with Bob Marley's legendary band The Wailers in 1980, that same year they appeared in Chicago, IL on Jesse Jackson's PUSH program and sang live on the radio for Jesse. The groups 2nd release was "Hot Thang" release in 1984, produced by Mike Calhoun formerly of the Dazz Band and Kevin Kendrick of Cameo. "I Wanna Be Love By You" was release in 1985 and new member Darwin Leonard join the group to replace Jimmy Fleming who then pursued a different career. Cash then performed "I Wanna Be Loved By You" on the Urban Music Awards with Arsenio Hall, Levert, Evelyn "Champagne" King, Johnny Gill and the Deele. Twin brother Dennis Roberson then stared writing and producing for the group Cash after being inspired by there mentors Prince, Michael Jackson and Baby Face of The Deele who the guys had the opportunity to meet in person while at the music award show. He convince his brother Danny, Darwin Leonard and band members Jeffrey Roberson, and Tony Thomas to take there music from the stage to the recording studio. Jeffrey Roberson is the baby brother Dennis & Danny and he started playing the drums for Cash at the age of 9 and then years later stared his own singing group called Smooth Approach. Tony Thomas played the keyboards. Cash started out producing music on 2 track and 4 track recording machines. The guys then had performances with the artist B.B. King and Roger Troutman & Zapp at the popular theater The Front Row in Ohio and made a bold decision to perform their music that they produced in their show. The music critics wrote raving reviews on their original songs performed at the concert and that's when the guys had arrived as song writers as well as entertainers. The songs performed included "Misery", "I Know You Care", "Talking Dirty" & "I'm Lonely". Cash produced songs from 1986 to the mid 90's,. Cash, recently had a reunion with all members in Cleveland, Ohio at the Metroplex 10-19-03 and are currently discussing future plans of recording a new CD.
