(About MP3 downloads at CD Baby)

One of the last great Southern rock bands to emerge from the 90’s.

notes

This is the original Copperhead CD, produced by Tom Dowd, featuring their first single, "Long Way From Home", an epic Copperhead song that became the title song for the movie "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man", and “Busted” which was featured on the soundtrack of "Dr. Giggles", and "Whiskey” a classic rocker that was made into a video for MTV.

“Copperhead’s brand of Southern Rock follows the legendary trails of Lynyrd Skynyrd with the soulful wailings of the Black Crowes” - Leslie R. Marini, X-posure Magazine

“Southern Rock with a Metal edge” - M. Conley, News Herald

“Eagles-style harmony with a Blackfoot/Metal/Southern Rock sound” - L Weaver, The Daily Record

“Copperhead is the truest example of new-breed southern rock purity in motion, featuring Van Zant-esqu vocalisms blended with a modern-day hard rock onslaught. - All Southern Rock e-zine.

Blistering tracks like “Whiskey Mama,” “Raging Fire,” and “Voices In The Night” will waste no time in bringing you back to the band’s heyday from the late 80s to early 90s .... Copperhead fans young and old alike will be gobbling up this CD with veracity. - Keith "MuzikMan" Hannaleck

Southern rock tinged metal without compare ... Neil Carswell is an undefined amazement in rock vocals. - Ear Buzz

Carswell’s voice is powerful with a better than average range and the band has a great live energy even on the studio cuts. I would call it old-school metal with a southern attitude. The live versions of “Whiskey” and “Born Loser” stand out and their version of “Drift Away” certainly should have been the one to get the air play rather than that other fella’s… - -Jimmy Williams, Gritz – Digital Southern Music Magazine (read the full review)

  • Southern rock at it's best!!
    author: mdritchie1977

This is definitely one of the best southern rock CD's I have ever heard...Ranks right up their with Skynyrd. Every song is awesome. It's very hard to find this quality of Southern rock anymore...a true gem!

  • CLASSIC SOUTHERN FRIED ROCK
    author: CDJUNKY

This debut belongs with other forgotten southern gems. It has all the tools to become a southern rock classic! Put your sh*tkickers on, take a swig of whiskey and crank it up! You won't be disappointed.

  • Copperhead - the Motorhead of Southern Rock
    author: Mario J. Machado

Just like the other reviewer stated, this is Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet influences with a heavy metal edge. That sums it up well. And, I love bands that love what they do. That's why I gave up on Southern Rock for the most part. They all sound lame and like they are just going through the motions; trying to hold on the coat-tails of the Dead Lynyrd Skynyrd. But Copperhead Rocks! Copperhead and the lastest releases of Molly Hatchet are the only true Southern Rock cds out there right now.
