Arlo guthrie and James Taylor meet up with Bob Dylan. Soulful, ambient acoustic nuances with hints jazzy blues.

notes

Beginning with the title cut, Carl lays out our evolving concepts of time from the cradle to the grave climaxing in the track entitled 'Full Circle'. The selections that follow reflect his own life experiences with a grin, a scowl and a pummeling expose on the "who cares about you?" attitude which 'fills in' our modern domain and saturates much of the entertainment of late.

For nearly three decades Carl has been composing and performing in and around the New England region of the United States. His accumulate backlog insists that he now publicly unveil at the very least this most current collection. Some of Carl's adventures are underscored by the ambiguous yet candid flavor of this precious release. These compositions carve in one's heart a priceless collection of musical commodity like precious, polished diamonds, nearly flawless, awaiting only those knowing their worth.

David McCormack, engineer/producer/guitarist provides lead and second rythym guitars as well as synthesizers, bass and drums on several tracks. Also included are; Eros Lamb (bass), Jim Allard (tenor sax) and Alan Palanzi (drums).

  • WOW...I have missed songwriting like this in popular music today.

The One More Day CD has become one of my favs...I look forward to hearing these cuts on the radio..Come on people request em!!! and dj's will play em. What I like about these songs is they remind me of a few artists or songs, while being original at the same time...Bravo - MRC

  • e4m thumbs up on this great listening CD
    author: Douglas Branson

Great song writing. 3 or 4 songs into the CD on my first listen, I was drawn in by the visuals, the lyrics and melodies inspired. Some of my favorite moments on this CD are the guitar solos, which seem to float in and out and around the lyrics, like a conversation between old friends. This is a CD I will listen to over and over again.

  • Solid, man, solid!!
author: Troy Smith, WMVY-FM Cape Cod

The essence of true songwriting. Cleverly composed and crafted journeys, a delightful jump to and fro from one soulful genre to the next. Perfect soundtrack for the cinema. Funky and fresh one minute, seminal and melodic the next - a terrific effort from an artist who is clearly passionate about his work. Beautiful cd - one of the best buys of the year.

  • I love this CD! Fun and Fantastic!
    author: Bobbie Kingsbury

The lyrics are fun and touching. They tell a story, and bring vivid mind pictures to me when I hear them. I listen to the CD with my kids without hesitation because the lyrics are clean. The beat is funky and we love to dance to the beat, tap our feet, and jump out of our seat!

  • Good Stuff
    author: Bruce

Stripped down to the point of sounding very crisp and clear. The music is very uncluttered, a pleasant thing in these days of overproduced music. Carl's vocals speak from the heart, and the music flows from the soul. I think I detect just a bit of the Dead (but sounding MUCH better) and some George Benson. A little jazzy, smooth and laid back; replay track # 8, man...

  • These cats are sizzlin... seasoned like a Kansas City Steak!
    author: Rory Phillips

Sounds a little like the Dead. This is the best fifteen bucks I've spent on a CD in a while. These cats are FRESH. The photo on the back could've been the cover. I love checkin out the lyrics too when i hear new music.

This CD cuts right thru the grease man. Awesome guitar work! Classic all the way around the board! Drums have a real nice thump, specially in track 3! This dude can really sing too! I give it a definite two thumbs up!!! Eddie Sanchez ;)

  • Like the east coast Dick Dale, Good Drivin music with a meaning to boot.
    author: Vincent Anton

This guy is cool and the production is good especially because they were able to make some of the Electronic elements of the music Swing with Carl's Guitar. This guy is like an East Coast Jazz version of Dick Dale. It is not Surf music but it has grit, sweetness, and an expansiveness that Dick's music has. Great Drivin Music with a meaning to boot! VA
