notes
The Library Journal bigs up this video saying.... "A whopping twenty Caribbean preparations." This awesome video was shot back in 1994 long before fancy (inexpensive) digital camcorders. It is home-video quality but because of content and hard-to-find Caribbean recipes on this video, public libraries all over the United States ordered it. Please note that this video is now available only on DVD.
The back of the video reads:
The Caribbean is probably North America's closest neighbor that it knows so little about. This is often confirmed in American movies, where almost every attempt to mimic Caribbean accents, music, and other aspects of the Caribbean culture is flawed. A mysterious gap exists between these two cultures.
This video might just help to bridge that gap through music, accent, and most importantly, through mouth-watering Caribbean preparations. If you can follow simple instructions, you are ready for Caribbean Cooking on Video- Vol. 1

Excellent demonstration of complex menu items
author: LeahThe cooking video was so informative, and focused on teaching every step of every item. I was very impressed by the number of items on the video. If you make another one please I want to be the first to purchase it. Great job and I highly recommend purchasing this video. It is well worth the money.
excellent, easy to follow.many answered questions 1
author: Ronald CraigBeing an American but being a lover of carribean food,I often ask my West Indian friends how to make certain dishes and not given all the details but, thanks to your video now I have all the details I need for some of my favorite dishes. Thank you! Also love your presentation.
I'm actually making exotic Jamacian dishes!!!
author: Darren JohnsonI received Caribbean Cooking on Video for me to critique for a local newsletter. I enjoyed the Jamacian poetry, the music, the information about West Indian culture that I didn't know... but most of all, I enjoyed preparing Caribbean dishes that I've paid (over the years)hundreds of dollars for. It's hard to believe that I actually made Jamacian Beef Patties!
I had Soooo much fun with this video.
author: Chi-ChiI don't like to cook. I guess that's why my boyfriend bought me this video. But now he's raving about my Carribean cooking. This video was just what I needed.
