notes

Just outside the ivy covered walls of Princeton, New Jersey, 3 musicians came together to form the melodic, acoustic rock ensemble known as Carbon Sun.

Devin Rosa, founder of Carbon Sun, started the band as a coffee house trio at the crossroads of several university campuses. However, it was a gig at the Bucks County Coffee Shop in Princeton, where vocalist Chris Arland first heard the unique style of the band. Chris managed to slip a demo to a member of Carbon Sun with the hopes of adding background vocals, but the band couldn't deny the chemistry. With the rhythmic collaboration of Devin's guitar playing and Chris's poetic song writing, it was inevitable that Carbon Sun would be reborn.

Fate plus the love of acoustic guitars introduced Devin to Brian Greenburg, a rhythm guitarist with a smooth acoustic style added the final nails that would secure the name Carbon Sun throughout the rock music scene.

Carbon Sun continues to play around the tri-state area, ensuring that the audience has as much fun listening, as they do performing.

  • It's about time for real original music to shine...
author: Just a dam fan from Los Angeles ,CA.

I had the pleasure of seeing them Live at Kat Man Du's Summerstock 2003 show in Trenton N.J. while visiting relatives and they blew me away by the 3rd song I knew I had to buy a cd.I'm the type of person who only likes CD's you can listen to all the way thru...well this is one of those cd's you can leave in the player for days on end,My friends here in California wonder if I will ever take it out and listen to the radio ever again. This is melodic rock that won't make your neck hurt the next day! THIS IS A MUST HAVE CD BEFORE THESE GUYS HIT THE BIGTIME AND FORGET ABOUT THE LITTLE PEOPLE... YOU GUYS CAN STAY AT MY HOUSE IF YOU EVER COME TO THE WEST COAST..I mean that!

  • Made for radio..Why are'nt they on the radio?

I am giving this cd 4 stars only, not 5 just because I heard the band LIVE and they are incredible! This cd reminds me of the original Seattle sound (do you remember??) Well it's back! I really think it's a cd for any audience no matter of your regular style of music, age or whatever and I dont think it will be very long before radio jumps on this band due to when I play it alot of different people come up and ask about different songs, telling me that there are not only just a couple of goods songs on it but a number of songs that appeal to a wide range of people and listening styles so I dont feel that pointing out a few tracks would do this album any justice. Pay attention to Carbon sun now and here is your chance to say I knew that band before they were mainstream.

This is one of the best cd's I have heard in a long time and they sound even better live! I can't believe that radio stations haven't picked up on this group yet.

  • Stunning
    author: Steve

What a killer CD. Sound is phenominal. Like the way it rocks yet it is acoustic. Again who ever said Acoustic Bands cannot rock. Keep up the great work as this CD was well worth the purchase.

  • THEY SOUND SWEET TO ME!!!
author: " The ear at the door" Pontiac Grille, Phila,PA.

I will tell you,Its Seattle candy:The right blend of M&M'S with Spice Jam:Some Dave Matthews fused with Fleetwood Mac,seasoned with a touch of Red Hot Chili Peppers and a pinch of Pearl Jam.Forged in the oven of a CARBON SUN in some nearby solar system.GOOB VIBRATIONS!!! P.S. THEY ARE NOT FROM SEATTLE

  • You guys have a very appealing sound!
    author: TAXI (custom critique)

This album is well done!Overall production is well executed-all performances are strong especially vocals.Guitar melodies are well written and arranged with the rest of the music. All songs are well balanced with a warm sound and punchy mix.I think these songs sound like material that can be on various AAA radio formats accross the country!Good luck with your music, you guys have a very appealing sound.I'm sure we will hear alot more of Carbon Sun in the very near future!
