What is Cape Cod Covers?

Conceived as an annual fund raiser, Cape Cod Covers is an album featuring the best musical artists on The Cape & Islands paying tribute to the best in popular music.

This year, nearby 70 talented musicians, producers and audio engineers came to together to lend their talents and pay tribute to the great Elvis Presley.

Produced by David Wood, the album proceeds go to benefit Angel Flight N.E.



What is Angel Flight NE?

Angel Flight NE is a volunteer corps of over 1200 private pilots and "Earth Angels" who combine their love of flying with the spirit of grassroots volunteerism by flying patients and their families to the critical health care they need. They provide air transportation in private aircraft by volunteer pilots so that children and adults may access life saving medical care free of charge.




Angel Flight New England (a.k.a. Angel Flight NE) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization that provides free air transportation to patients whose financial resources would not otherwise enable them to receive treatment or diagnosis, or who may live in rural areas without access to commercial airlines.

They are also a vital mode of transportation for organs, blood and for patients awaiting organ transplants. AFNE also makes compassion flights and provide air care wherever there is a compelling human need.

While AFNE patients primarily live in the northeast United States, they currently provide flights for people as far north as Maine, as far west as Minnesota and as far south as Florida and Louisiana.
Approximately 50% of AFNE patients are children, generally suffering from severe burns or cancer.

    What a great idea. Ask a bunch of Cape bands to pick an Elvis Presley song to cover and put them on a disc that's a fundraiser for Angel Flight New England, which provides free air transportation to people in need of medical care. I've heard many compilations of Cape bands, and this is the best one yet. Some of the bands deliver in Kingly style, while others put their own stamp on the songs. Among the many highlights are "Good Luck Charm" by Travis & Shook, "Little Sister" by Johnny Hoy & The Bluefish, "I Gotta Know" by Link Montana and "A Little Less Conversation" by Care Factor Zero.
