ONCE UPON A TIME...
...in a kingdom far, far away, Jan Terje and Vegar met playing acoustic guitars on the local jam sessions. They had allready know eachother for some month. Vegar had moved to the kingdom from another kingdom even farther away. Well, anyway, the more beer they drank, the more fun it got.
At the same time, JT, aka Jan Terje, had been playing together with his bother-in-law, Thomas. They had been experimenting with som lo-fi rawk with drums and guitars.
So, after a few weeks of heavy beer drinking, JT suggested to Vegar that they should visit Thomas. Okay, off they went and wow, it was fun. And a band was formed; an unamed band. They did their first little show with HUGE sucsess and shortly after, JT found the perfect name ... *drumroll*...CALIGVLA'S SISTERS
Now the lineup was JT on guitar and vocals, Vegar on the bass and Thomas as Animal..sorry, I mean drums. They did another few shows and then, while JT was drinking beer at a party, he met Sølve, who was looking for a band. AND he was a bassplayer. WOW, it was heaven sent. Now Vegar could take his guitar again and they were a four peace band, playing four stroke music from hell.
And there you have it, the short, and maybe not so true, story of CALIGVLA'S SISTERS
Stick around and maybe you'll discover the future of the band. RAWK ON, ETNE RAWK CITY
CALIGVLA'S SISTERS ARE:
Vocals and guitars Jan Terje Rafdal
Guitars Vegar Øyfoss
Bass Sølve Storm Opdal

I am sure that when you reach the closing track you will push the play button ag
author: Antonis MaglarasLast summer I was in Norway and up there I had the chance to meet a lot of musicians from different bands. This time, I have the pleasure to re-present here the first EP of Caligvla’s Sisters “Love It Tender”. In this work the band has included six tracks that are full of energy and could be described as pure rock ‘n roll. Sometimes you think that it is difficult to hear pure rock music nowadays but Caligvla’s Sisters is here to prove that you can count on them. Their music is easy listening you will enjoy every second of their songs and of course their compositions are well worked, with interesting guitar riffs and very impressive ideas. I am sure that when you reach the closing track you will push the play button again and if you don’t believe me, just hear the title track and then you will completely understand the band’s music. For sure when I will be back in Norway I will keep an eye for one of the band’s live shows.
You rock my pants
author: Mr. musicTo be hounest: I have been looking for a sound like this for a while. Just nice pure sound with great songs and ..yeah you know, simple and cool. Tunes that stay in your head in a nice sort of way. Fuck it, I can`t explain it. Just buy the fucking album or ... watch TV.
Raw and energic sound with great songs
author: MusicReviewerPeople, we have a winner. I absolutely love this EP.I didn't buy it from CDBAby.com (sorry) but from a local record store, but i think i can still review it. What i love about this EP is the timeless sound. You can still listen to this in 20 years and not say that this was soooo 2006. Its raw, energic and vital. And it feels so alive and organic. They have also avoided boring lyrics filled with cliches; they make you lauch and smile (ex: "I drown you in the Muddy Waters "...." and you smiled as you went under:)) and even cry when you understand what End Call is all about. I'm not sure how to explain the music, but i know i like it. The bottom line is: BUY IT. I promise you wont be sorry
Phat,sounding, unpolished, rock.
author: Love it tender! This is one of the few CD's you just got to have if you like rock made by balls. Pure, unpolished, great lyrics, and a sound that you want to marry.
