The Buffalo Gals are an acoustic band, featuring twin fiddles, harmony singing, and great boots! Combining respect for musical tradition with a fresh look at the folk process, we choose danceable song from the best of folk, country, and Cajun. We play old time fiddle tunes, original songs and our own brand of Cowgirl swing!
In 2000, our first CD "Buffalo Moon" won the Minnesota Music Academy award for Best Recording - Bluegrass category. During the same year, the Minnesota Bluegrass and Old Time Music Association voted the Buffalo Gals "Favorite Old Time Band".
Since 1990, we have been entertaining audiences from Wisconsin to Washington with a variety of songs and tunes that get toes tapping, and feet itching to dance!

author: debraFrom the first time I heard Buffalo Gals I knew this would be one of my all time favorite CDs. It makes me smile everytime I hear it. Wish they would put out another one. Sounds a bit cajun to me in some parts. Love it!

author: Mary VrabelI love this Cd and have for years. It is my "go to" CD when I'm having a great day or need a pick-me-up. It is SO FUN to sing along! My son always requested this CD when he was little and now that he's 10, he knows all the songs. It's quite a singfest at our house when we're playing Buffalo Moon!
Great music. Vocals flat at times, but otherwise very pleasant!
author: RaeMusic on this CD is definitely western swing with some bluegrass tones. Good selection of tunes included. Very good choice of waltz's and played very well.
