notes
Brian Saint & the Sinners featuring Brian Saint on lead vocals & guitar, Colie on lead guitar & backing vox, Rob Shuman on bass, and Sara Tomeck on drums. The group was featured prominently in the local NJ media for their new Asbury "Park Rock" sound and performed in the fabled musical city by the sea relentlessly throughout the year 2000. Subsequently Brian went on to form Agency, Colie moved to Hollywood and started AERIA Records, Sara joined Days Awake, Rob took an audio engineering position with Sony, Jon Sara has played cello on a gazillion albums, and Ben Bleefield continues to narrowly evade criminal prosecution for a variety of evils..

Asbury's "Park Rock" Chapter..
author: Colie BriceThese were fun times. I met Brian Saint at the Daily Grind coffee shop in Ocean Grove, NJ. the Tri City News had just done a huge write upon him and he was hosting an open mic at the Moon Rock in Asbury Park which he invited me to attend. I showed up one night, did my set and then Brian asked me to jam along to his tunes.. A weekor so later Brian shows up at open mic with Rob Shuman on bass, I bring a long an old friend named Ben Bleefield, who knew this cute teen age chick named Sara Tomek who could play like John Bonham :) Donny G, Bear, and Chris Barry were all Moon Rock regulars who endured listening as our Thursday night jams were sculpted into tunes in front of a live following of Asbury Park bohemians, artists, surfers, etc. It was a happening scene.. This live recording is a sonic snapshot of that era as Tillie looked down upon our shoulders.. Life moved on, but these were special, magical nights for all involved..
