notes
Bruce Lesnick has been playing and writing music for over thirty years. Lesnick is known for his irreverent, funny folk music style, and can often be seen performing at peace marches, anti-war protests and rallies for progressive causes throughout the Pacific Northwest. His music is insightful, inspiring and uncompromising, yet laced with original melodies and harmonies that you'll want to hear over and over again.
Thanks for listening. Please also check out Lesnick's "It's All Relative" CD. (See link below left.)

Lesnick Disney Review
author: Beth BowermanDear Bruce, I don't know if this will get to you,yet I just wanted to say "Hi". It is fun to see what you have done since Mr Shoenfeld's math class.......if it wasn't for your tutelage I would have failed story problems. I always tell every one that when I had a problem with a class at Nicolet I would ask the smartest student to help me and Mr Shoenfeld was actually the one to suggest your helping me as he was not getting the concepts through to me. So I always say"I snuggled up close to the best looking guy in the class, who happened to be a red head like my mom and he(of course that was you Bruce)taught me how to dissect a story problem.......I went from a D to getting the top grade in the class on one test! Then of course your mom and dad and mine were friends and we went to Disney together...........you had a beautiful girlfriend then and she was so worried that I would be competition for her.......well,I was not a boyfriend stealer so you and I had an ok time and your phone bill "according to your parents, chatting with mine.....was astronomical because you 2 talked morning, noon and night." It is nice to see that you have used your story problems class with good ol Shoenfeld to satirically spell bind folks on all of the political rhetoric. Hope to see you at the 35th reunion. Oh I did take "Imagine" by John Lennon and rewrite it .......Imagine there's a heaven,it's easy if you try......something to live and die for ...to go with Jesus in the sky..........imagine all God's people livin for the Lord, youuuuuuuuuuuuuooooooowwwhoooooo you may say I 'm a dreamer.....but I'm not the only one. Sure hope some day you'll find Jesus and the world will be won........ I became a "Jesus Freak" my Junior year in High School and that is the only song I rewrote cause I could not imagine John's world and his version seemed so hopeless to me. Janet Priester and I used to sing that Anti Viet Nam song when my bro Gary was in Nam....cannot remember the tune, just remember riding our bikes around Rivers Edge Subdivision and singing at the top of our lungs about soldiers coming home in wooden boxes etc. Hope all is well with you and I don't speak for the reunion committee.....but I should ask Ricky B..if we could have you sing a song or 2. Blessings on you and your family and your career. Beth (Gorectke) Bowerman
Intelligent and Easy to Listen to
author: Cassandra PollockA rousing opening track takes you straight into the defiant anti war politics of this satisfying album. All the songs are lyrically thoughtful and considered. Sometimes with a historical sweep to them just to put the current war fixated culture into perspective. The integrity of the lyrics is combined here with a sweet folk style, gentle harmonies, nice acoustic guitar playing. It has an old fashioned folk feel which I don't mind as I'm a bit nostalgic for the protest era in music. There's a nod to Woody Guthrie in the closing "Pie in the Sky" but the artist which I find Bruce has more in common with is Don Mclean ( and his less famous social conscience songs with bite). One song I find particulary ingenious here is 'Red Shift', it cleverly examines the wider spiritual crisis hidden behind the rise in obesity. In fact the bigger picture is never far from view in Bruce Lesnick's songs. Highly recommended.
Just so good...
author: Eric from Geneva, SwitzerlandIt happens once in a while. I often listen to music online, trying to find something that just makes me think "Wow, that's good". And it happens very rarely. I just listened to the first track of this CD on CDBaby and immediately ordered it. And I sure don't regret it. Great lyrics, nice guitar playing, and that little je ne sais quoi that just lit it all. It won't be long until I order more stuff by Mr. Lesnick.
Instrumental was pleasant to listen to and lyrics were exceptional.
