Transcendental Meditation Experiment:
Could Group Meditation reduce crime in big cities? A study was done in Washington, D.C., summer of 1993. They rounded up nearly 4,000 volunteers from 81 countries to meditate around the clock for eight weeks. Once complete, they saw that violent crime (assaults, murders, rapes) and all other crime in general decreased by 23 percent. The police chief was shocked! -Crime usually goes up in the summer. The group who organized the effort wasn’t surprised at all… because they had seen the exact same results in 20 previous cities. Ideas like these could change the world.
