With credits as diverse as the Joe Walsh Band (the Eagles); Lollapalooza (LA); Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame concert with Alicia Keys and Lincoln Park; BARAKA; Los Angeles' school performance program; 'ER'; 'Twilight Zone'; Children with Diabetes; and the world music series at Disney World in Florida, BROTHER has shown its appeal spans age groups and genres.

Self-managed for much of its career, the band has demonstrated a staying-power and long-term, artistic commitment. BROTHER has been 100% independent and do-it-yourself for over 10 years, long before their model started to become the norm.

Real-life brothers, Hamish and Angus grew up on a cattle farm, 3 hours west of Sydney. They began their music lives with Sunday morning concerts in their parents' bedroom with skipping ropes as microphones, progressed to high school rock bands, played in Australian champion pipe bands and then began their first professional meanderings paying their way through college while both studied journalism.

Dalbo (Perth, Western Australia) landed in LA in the early nineties and toured with jazz great Jeff Berlin before landing a teaching job at the Musicians Institute in LA. He joined BROTHER in 1996 and together the band toured the USA extensively. While Angus and Hamish recovered from some major injuries sustained in a tour road accident around the turn of the century, Dalbo toured the world with chart-topper and young human, Michelle Branch.

2004 saw Dalbo reunited with the brothers, after getting his fill of the corporate life. The three started jamming and before long were gigging once more with a 3-year game plan in place to develop a theatre show, get the music back to Australia and open up new territories in Europe.

Reviewers have advised the public to "go get hit over the head with this act - there's just nothing like it", which may have something to do with the fact that BROTHER is, as another quote puts it, "like tribesmen playing rock 'n' roll".

To its fans BROTHER is more than a band. It's a lifestyle - music, community, healthy food, self expression, yoga, tolerance and "a big slice of joy".
