Broken 1 is a band that has bridged the genre and age gap. Very diverse in style and influences. A band with a rock edge and lyrics that will cause one to search within. Formed in 1996 under a different name the band has evolved from covers to original music. A very crowd interactive live show that is fun to be a part of. Original band members John Williams acoustic and electric guitar and lead vocals, Chris Gardner vocals, Todd Burleson bass guitar, Brandon Kinzey guitar, Mike Scott drums and vocals. The band has many influences that make up their sound, and it is hard to pinpoint a distinct sound from the band. The music has a up front electric guitar feel with a driving and very percussive acoustic rhythm on every song. The cd project saw many changes and had typical bumps in the road. Like many bands Broken 1 was out of the studio with the first cd and only members John Williams, Chris Gardner and Mike Scott were there to promote the music. The additions of Brian Shifflet(Now leading the band STEEPLE), acoustic guitarist Josh Einwechter of (JEB), and Bassist Rob Hoover made the band complete with one of the best stage line-ups ever. The band is currently doing other projects but this CD is a must for your collection..
