The Brazen Heads are a 5 piece Celtic rock band from Phoenix Arizona with a bawdy sort of The Pogues-meets - Christy Moore - meets - Horslips - meets - Flogging Molly style; performing an eclectic variety of high energy music from all over the Celtic Isles. The Heads will either get the crowd going or get kicked out trying!
The band's sound is a modern, acoustic centered, Celtic rock flavor. It is a high energy ride: powered by drums and bass, driven by fiddle and flute, navigated by poignant lyrics, and tricked out with tight vocal harmonies, instrumental diversity. . . and a few dirty jokes. It can be sweet at times and funny at times but it can also be darker with a very driving, punchy, sound; like an edgy rock band playing on MTV unplugged. It tends to be more melodic than typical Celtic punk or hard rock but also much more rockin’ than your typical folk rock or acoustic pop. Songwriting is drawn from traditional Irish, modern rock, hard rock, rockabilly, pop, and classical influences.
Acts that inspire their sound include: The Pogues, Christy Moore, The Saw Doctors, The Waterboys, The Horselips, Thin Lizzy, Luka Bloom, Great Big Sea, The Young Dubliners, Johnny Cash, AC/DC, Metallica, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, Pachelbel. . . . oh. . and Benny Hill.

Outstanding
author: MichelleReceived my CD a few weeks ago. It gets played at work and home very, very often. I cannot say enough about how truly inspiring this CD is. I have to place an order for several so my coworkers will have copies of their own and mine will no longer go missing on an almost daily basis! From original to traditional there is something here for everyone. The energy of this band is both bawdy and uplifting at the same time. The music leaves the listener with many, many messages. The music will draw you in quickly and at the end of it all...pressing the replay button on your CD remote becomes an automatic reflex.
AMAZING!
author: BellaAh yes, the long awaited CD has arrived. If it's not playing on my laptop, its playing in my head! The talent in this group is pretty "uncommonly extraordinary! If this CD doesn't inspire you to dance your a*s off, or at the very least, set your foot to tapping, you'd have to be dead!
Superb

A Must Have!!!
author: Tambourine GirlI have gone through three copies of this wonderful CD and am only getting started. In a day and age where the world sees too much "cookie cutter" performers pre-packaged and lacking in creativity and originality, The Brazenheads are a cut above the rest. From original songwriting/musical arrangement to the diverse and gifted capacity to perform on just about any instrument, they are a group that will make you want to come back again and again. They inspire you to want to pick up an instrument and learn whether it be a violin, guitar or even a cowbell! You will be inspired to let the power of music become a part of you. And just as important, this group never fails to bring a crowd together anywhere united singing and dancing and having one hell of a fantastic time as only they can do! Do not miss the chance to own this CD and play it often! More importantly, make sure to see them play live, they are some of the best people you would ever get the chance to see and meet!
