Brad Kelsey and Triple Tornado is an exciting blend of Rock & Blues. A young blues band with an edge pushing all the boundaries but staying true to it’s roots. This band has spiraled through the generation gap by their innovated musical style, from their sweet mix of Rock ’n Blues that range from wild to mild.
This is Brad Kelsey’s first album but he’s no newcomer to music. His abilities are rooted back to the 20's, 30's and through the 50's where his great grandfather known as Maverick, produced his own records and played for live crowds throughout New York, Chicago and Cleveland. Brad’s inherited
music abilities show that music flows through him. With the help from influences of Eric Clapton, Robert Johnson, BBKing, Albert King, Freddie King, Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan and many others. All this echoes through his vocals and his quick fingers soaked with sweat and passion as he keeps the blues alive.
“Just A Step Away” is an awesome disc by Brad Kelsey and Triple Tornado, as they show that they are an outstanding powerful blues/rock trio. They’re the real thing when it comes to bringing the blues back and keeping it alive. This CD has 12 original tracts which was produced by Brad Kelsey and Tom Temple recorded at Temple Recording Studio. The album was recorded live with the band set up like they would at a live show. Brad and the band steam rolled through all 12 tracts and most of all, they had a great time recording which really shows through on the CD.
This is a killer disc from start to finish. This CD takes you on a journey through slow blues to full blown rock tunes which sounds like Brad is tearing his guitar apart on some of the rocking instrumentals. The quality of the CD is great, from the sound to the great art work you see on the album.
This debut album is just the beginning of his hot licks. “Just A Step Away” by Brad Kelsey and Triple Tornado is highly recommend to fans of Jimi Hendrix, SRV, EC, Buddy Guy, Robert Johnson, BBKing, Joe Bonamassa, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and any other killer blues guys you ever heard of.
Brad Kelsey is as real as it gets and is right up there with all the others. So if you love blues/rock get this disc and experience “ Just A Step Away ” !!

    I heard the Title "Just a Step Away" on Internetradio. I was heard the name Brad Kelsey never bevor. But now I'm excitedly. I live in Germany, and it is impossible to received the CD.What a pity!

    Unfortunately anyone who releases a CD like this is immediately compared to Stevie Ray Vaughn or classed as a SRV wannabe.This offering shows that Brad certainly has talent and a style of his own,if you like Texas Blues music then this is a must for your collection.
