“Backin’ Up Santa” is the band’s newest CD release, dedicated as a holiday gift to their fans. This collection of funked up, bluesy, rockin’ Christmas songs was chosen to serve the festive side of Christmas. The vocal harmonies and bantering inspire merrymaking, the track choices will rev the celebration spirit, and the deep-in-the-pocket rhythm section delivers the perfect sound to powercharge any flagging Yuletide energy. The band features frontmen Kenny Elhard and Mitch Reems who use the cult-status characterizations of Jake and Elwood (respectively) as “The New Blues Brothers.” Their vocals give nonstop tribute to the mighty R & B music style of the 60’s & 70’s – from Memphis to Motown.
For 20+ years this band has been unstoppable, entertaining Northwest audiences with their live performances and recordings. Every member of The Blues Power Revue featuring The New Blues Brothers is a consummate, highly-gifted musician with extensive local and national credentials. Together, they have created a Northwest “superband” producing a soulful and unique power sound, skillfully interpreting and delivering the kind of music that guarantees a good time will be had by all.
