notes
RESERVATION BLUES The Soundtrack is a collaboration with writer/screenwriter Sherman Alexie and singer/songwriter Jim Boyd.
The original Soundtrack for Alexie's novel RESERVATION BLUES turned out to also include three tracks (Reservation Blues, Treaties, and Father and Farther) in the Miramax motion picture Smoke Signals.
A few tracks also included the beautiful voices of the Ludwig sisters (Debra, Lori, and Pam).

Reservation Blues
author: R. B. HafemannEven better than I expected. A wonderful companion to the book. Beautifully sung, played, and spoken.
Reservation Blues
author: Donna KingsboroJim Boyd just keeps on making great CDs for us who live too far away to see him perform in person. One great artist to keep track of.
one of Jim's best with Sherman the icing
author: Judy NoyesThe poetry and singing voice are tremendous, especially Falling Down and Falling Apart written for so many native women. This is my favorite cd now.
The more you listen to this cd, the more you like it!
author: Valérie BiretThe first time I heard Jim Boyd performing was when watching the movie Smoke Signals and I fell for his voice, the way he sings and for the lyrics so full of meaning of the songs "Reservation Blues" and "Father and Farther"(this one is one of my favorite with "Falling Down And Falling Apart"...)Each song is a piece of artwork with a lot of value. Both Jim Boyd and Sherman Alexie make this cd a precious one.

Songs with remarkable emotional intensity
author: Special Rider, SwedenJim Boyd is a new acquaintance for me. Some of the songs are definitively real gems: Reservation Blues, Father farther, Urban Indian. The acoustic guitar work is great as well. Jim is a great singer worthy of attention - at least according to my Swedish ears ...
Boyd's music and Sherman's poetry very inspiring
author: Angela SestitoThe collaboration of Boyd's music and Sherman's poetry went very well together. Both voices as one...
