Featuring Michael Robbins on guitars, Katherine Irwin Thomas on fiddle, Howard Williams on mandolin, and vocalist/pennywhistler Caeri Tomson, this band creates music of celebration and joy. Balancing their own compositions with traditional tunes as well as covers by the likes of Dougie MacLean, the Collies effortlessly inhabit the world between tradition and innovation. They're not above taking a folk standard like "Three Drunken Maidens" and giving it a spritely new tune, revealing their genius through how good they make this new/old song sound.     This cd is really a lot of fun. All of the members are very talanted, and the vocals are particularly entertaining. They seem to enjoy singing about drinking it up!

    finally i found this cd, my 14 yearold son heard it in my car and was like dad who is this,this is excellent music. i am glad i can now listen to one of my favorite celtic bands whenever i wish. hope to hear you live soon.

    This CD is a blend of the varied Celtic music types associated with these fantastic artists. The lovely instrumentals and gorgeous vocals will have you listening over and over again. I've probably listened to each track 10 times or more and never get tired of hearing these talented performers. By the way...there's a really cute picture of a real live border collie on the back of the CD case! Hey Maggie! Good Girl!!! Congratulations on a fine release!

    An excellent first CD! Just like a session at the pub! Caeri's vocals plus great instrumentation come shining through! Their original compositions rank right up there with the traditional songs they play. Their talent and professionalism are clearly heard on this CD, which I hope will be the first of many.
