The BCT sounds like they were just ripped out of some liberally dosed psychedelic garage party and plopped down in a dive bar to inflict their bluesy punk-esque indie rock on a fresh crop of boozers.

Album Notes

The Booty Chesterfield Trio is a triad of thoughts, perspectives, ideas and innovations on the trite and overdone topic of Rock Music. Often redundant, but always entertaining these three hail from the Southern San Francisco Bay Area, also known as the Silicon Valley. This area is known for the long history of technology, however is it is a far too new conglomeration of different small towns to have anything of a real music scene, especially in the arena of Rock’n’Roll. Their objective is to inspire people to turn off their computers and go out to local places to see live music. To put on a show that will inspire one to pick up an instrument, use it and form a band. On their debut album, Sellin’ Cookies, the intention was to capture the intensity and power of their live performances. Built on a basis of classic blues with the oddities of Devo vs. the Pixies (and a dash of the Psychedelia Movement of ‘60s thrown in) to create an off kilter sound and feel that will grab the listener on each track and keep them wondering, “what’s next?” The lead single, VW, is a tune they wrote about love and teen angst seen through the eyes of a boy getting his heart broken by his older girlfriend when she reaches the lawful driving age. The album is packed with hooks and cowbells that will have anyone tapping their feet and wanting more. Give it a spin and if you want more…then you’ll have to buy into the cookies!!!
