notes
We all have one..... Woman Of Mass Destruction.... This CD is a true to life musical experience with many moods feels and all telling a story of being true to who you are, vices and all. Rockin guitar, great lyrics, hot rhythms and a couple of great boogified stanky covers including a tribute to the late great Ray Charles. The barroom anthem "Lets Go Get Stoned combines live crowd vocals (actually recorded @ a gig) mixed into an intimate studio recording to create the feeling of actually being there.” Hypocrisy Blues" has a groove 6 feet deep and sums up the whole premise of this CD; we are all good bad and ugly sometimes. "The More I Drink" is epic in its production, with 5 star studded cameos; it's about feeling lonely and getting drunk!! "Forever" just like scars,,, Chicks Dig it."Spread Your Wings" makes you want to crank it and play it over and over again. The Boogie Monsters, have really created a rocking, soulful, bluesy recording that will leave you wanting more.. buy it NOW!!!!

Woman of Mass Destruction
author: Lyle R BerryThis was a hard driving, ass-kicking Texas blues jam at its best. The mellower stuff was good too, but I liked the hard-core rockin'blues best. Cut 12 shoulda been cut but maybe that's just me. Great stuff!
our best online music purchace yet!
author: CeiliaMy husband and I love our new cd! I found you guys, ordered the cd, and a few days later I found the shipping wrapper in the garbage, but no cd to be found!! My husband had heard me playing your music on the web, so when the cd got here, he took it straight to his truck and told me to get my own! It has been a big hit at our house to say the least! We are thrilled you guys are coming to Austin so we can come listen to you live!

author: Frederick A. Russo (2FAR)I thought the Woman of Mass Destruction CD was great. The originals were original and the remakes were good. The Boogie Monsters are on a roll with their music and lyrics. Anybody who loves good music should enjoy theirs. No matter what kind of music you like, if you really enjoy good music you will like these guys. Keep the boogie coming. Reno is lucky to have such talent in their community. 2FAR in Washoe Valley, NV

It is good to have another offering from The Boogie Monsters.
author: Gary Wheeler - www.terrapinroad.comHolding true to the attitude of the band both individually and as a unit while bring another heavy dose of reality to the table the title track 'Woman of Mass Destruction' sets the feel for this excellent release. 'Dealing With The Devil' is sure to be a bar band standard in a very short while. 'Forever' is a great taste of contemplation. 'Prelude in Swamp Minor' reminds me of those curious offerings you could find on albums during the 70's. 'The More I Drink' is grand. 'Hypocrisy Blues' touches everybody in one way or another. 'Baby Please Don't Go' is my personal favorite off of this album. It just flat kicks. 'All We Do Is Dance' is another tasty offering. 'Wasted Youth' has vocals that remind me of some of the early Omar & The Howlers stuff. The drive of 'Spread Your Wings' sits you right up and makes you wanna shake it. 'Let's Go Get Stoned' is a great take on a grand old tune. Tasty licks and groove that you can't keep still for. 'I think I'm Drunk' is a fantastic rendering of the consequences of liquid courage vice. Sounds a bit biographical don't ya think.
Watch it now, here come the Monsters.
author: BlueStone RayWoman of Mass Destruction has it all. Outstanding lyrics that hit you where it counts, killer guitars, a rhythm section that's equal parts funk, blues, rock anthem and groovier than a back side of mass delight has a right to be and ultimately vocals that bleed music. Get ready folks here come the Monsters and the Woman Mass Destruction.
I loved it!

author: Arnold WalkerI've followed this band for a long time. I already have their new CD (and the old one of course) and it blew me away. These guys are headed for the BIG TIME. More, more!!!!
Exceptional blues-funk-hard rock mayhem!
author: Dr. Tavo Mauldin - The HellbustersThese boys is bad ass. No fooling. I've heard 'em dozens of times around here and they always delivered the goods. Ol' Wayne told me several times that I better look out for the new record, because he thought it was gonna be righteous. Well, he was right about that. This record is about as mean and rightetous as a left hook with a roll of dimes in it, hitting you upside the head. You may see it coming, but you by the time it's on you, there's no stopping it, and its impact is profound. Let's talk about some of the music: All the songs are good. Three are exceptional: The More I Drink, Baby Please Don't Go, and Let's Go Get Stoned. Regarding The More I Drink: Not only do I love local radio superstar Steve Funk's intro and coda parts, but the song itself is truly awesome. The music is great, the lyrics are memorable, and I love the uncommon bridges in it. The song has a tense feel, the conflicted energy of a good man feeling down and hopeless, but somehow hope still comes... the more he drinks, anyway. Next, the boys kicked the living HELL out of the old classic Baby Please Don't Go. Sounded like Guns 'N Roses meeting Big Joe Williams in an alley for a gunfight to me. Somewhere old Big Joe is saying to himself, "now why didn't I do it like that" while he drinks a pint of schapps and eats a couple of BBQed pig snouts. I've heard that song arranged dozens of ways but never quite like this. They nailed it and made it fresh, all at the same time. Then there's Let's Go Get Stoned... the third exceptional song on the record. It is just TAILOR-MADE for drunken bar room singing along to but what I really dig about it was the underlying meaning in and spirit in the lyrics. Yeah, who hasn't felt like that guy, the one who tries hard but nothing comes out right and he don't wanna face his wife and so hey, let's go get stoned... a new spin on an old theme. Another personal favorite is the last track, I Think I'm Drunk. Reminds me of something Reverend Horton Heat might put on the end of an album. Spontaneous and funny, but with a little bit of an edge too. Something in the singer's voice is a little bit dangerous. Buy this record and you won't regret it if you like the blues done all stanky. -Dr Todd "Tavo" Mauldin - The Hellbusters - www.hellbusters.net
Incredible record, a must have a+++
