notes
"Son I like your music, you've got what it takes!" These were the words spoken to Bo Billy by legendary Bill Monroe after one of Bo's shows in Nashville. "Those are words I'll never forget. When times get rough in this business, I remember what he said and it makes things all right." says Bo Billy. Born in Kissimmee, Florida, Bo Billy grew up surrounded by music. His father was a self-taught guitarist and all of his siblings shared musical talent as well. Bo turned professional at age 12, so young that his father had to take him to his gigs while playing with band members twice his age. Although his early guitar influences included such greats as Eric Clapton and Jimmi Hendrix, Bo Billy eventually turned his musical desires to country music, with his stereo blasting out the sounds of Hank Sr. and Jr. and many of the other country greats that Nashville has introduced us to throughout musical history. It was, however, a friendly wager with a buddy that changed Bo Billy's direction in music forever. "My friend, who loved country music way before I did, dared me that I couldn't write a country song. Well, I wrote one and people seemed to like it so I kept writing and before I knew it I had completed my first entire country album. It sold over 4,000 copies just from my gigs and word of mouth. After that I was hooked!"

GREAT!
author: DavidGreat CD. Very disappointed the local "country" station chooses not to play it. Heard "69 Beetle" on Internet Radio Louisiana but that is not the only great music on the CD. THere is also "The Ying Yang is Gone", "Blink", "I'll Fit Like a Love", and "Low Maintenance Girl". Definitely looking for more of his music. Thanks!
