notes

This is the long-awaited follow-up to Bob's first album, Bob Is Famous.

Bob is a musical artiste ("ar-teest") from the San Francisco Bay Area. He conceives the songs, plays them, writes the lyrics, sings, and produces the recordings himself, mostly from a little corner in his home. Sounds like a humble operation, but take a listen and see if this does not sound like real professionals were involved.

This album has one song that was not written by Bob, but rather by his friends Paul McCartney and John Lennon. It is called "I Want to Hold Your Hand." I think John and Paul did a pretty good job on this one. Who knows, it could even be a hit of sorts. We think it measures up quite well to the other material on Bob's album.

"I've got a big grin on my face.... Lots of wit and melody inside the funk." --Tim Sanders, Kick Horns

  • This music NEEDS to get to your ears!

The music on this CD raises the bar for today's pop music. This CD is full of great songs! Some of which grab the listener right away, while other songs, like enjoying fine wines, are discovered and rediscovered with more listening.

  • Another Terrific Album
    author: Tom McEntee

Bob's songs are a joy to listen to. Standouts are the funky "2 Chords", sweet "Perfect Bliss", the near-east vibe of "Turned On", and a great light-techno version of "Hold Your Hand". Bob has put together some gorgeous & surprising harmonies; very fresh! The lyrics of "Bigger", "Free Yourself", & "Perfect Bliss" are particularly deep yet deceptively clear. Bob's added some wonderful new sounds & instrumentation since his previous album "Bob is Famous". Plus the unified & attractive graphic design (digipak) is very well done, with images from San Francisco transit stations. This is a cohesive & thoroughly enjoyable album. Buy one for yourself, one for a friend, & one for your local library!

  • GREAT pop! My kids love it too!

I really like this CD. Sophisticated, catchy, poppy. What surprised me is that my kids (12 and 10) love it too! We listen to it in the car all the time now. Lots of ear candy, but not at the expense of dumb lyrics--Bob knows his stuff both lyrically and musically. HIGHLY recommended!!

  • Very upbeat Sophisticated Pop Rock

"Depech Mode" meets the "Beatles" with a sprinkling of "Train". Bob Rocks!!! Excellent from start to finnish. Bob is totally off the hook on "2 Cords"! Hey Bob, I want hold YOUR hand!!!
