ALBUM ANALYSIS:
NO DIRECTION is exactly what it says it is. This is one of the most unpredictable albums I have ever heard. It has a subtle anti-establishment tone to it, which I think is the secret to its dysfunctional, almost mad arrangement. It is filled with clever and sometimes Political innuendo, introduces a Simon Cowell like character in "Little Elroy - Band Manager", has lots of comical introductions, and a good conceptual originality. Big City Bob Songs usually are simple, pointless, have no genre, flow or purpose other than escapism entertainment, and this, while not actually a true or similar sequel to the first edition, seems to accomplish that.
