notes

Sines and Singularities /
This is Bluetech's second much anticipated album. Already established in North America with a big fan base, Aleph Zero release of the special 2CD of Elementary Particles + Prima Materia has turned Bluetech into a favored name in the downtempo electronic world worldwide. Extensive touring all over North America, Europe and Japan followed. While touring Bluetech went on exploring new realms of sonic structures and the outcome of these physical and spiritual journeys is this album. Sines and Singularities offers a musical inward deep dive that unfolds and penetrates new dimensions in Bluetech ripening musical persona, exposing more of his unique sound-constructed emotional reflections of the world. Diverse and colorful, the album offers a more complete perspective from different angles of the Bluetech sound, and flirts with the more danceable side of downtempo music, while remaining a fundamentally relaxed and soothing experience. It includes interpretations to Pitch Black & Shulman.

Bluetech /
Evan Bluetech produces his unique style of digital downtempo from the West Coast of North America. Classically trained on the piano for public performing, he deviated from the traditional structure of classical music and being to relearn the instrument from an energetic and tonal perspective. This resulted in his interpretation of nature's expression of being, establishing a playing style that is dronal ambient, downtempo & improvisational. Inspired by the possibilities of telling musical stories through tone and rhythm transaction and by the emerging chill out scene in the early 90's, he began to compose music with electronic instruments.
Bluetech has released many tracks on compilations from several respected labels worldwide, as well as a full length LP from well respected ambient label Waveform Records, and a special edition double CD on Aleph Zero Records. He is also a moving force behind the ambient/downtempo tour called Ambient Alchemy which is now in its third year. Bluetech has established a reputation in North America and around the world during extensive touring for bringing a high energy charge to downtempo music. His sets give space for relaxation and movement as well as injecting cosmic funky dub into the dancefloor.

This CD is a standard for electronica - flawless

I love this album! Very happy I purchased it from CDBaby through Amazon. First Came the Stars (Bluetech remix) is my favorite track on the album! Awesome stuff!

Awesome mind trip!!! I'm very happy I bought this CD.

  • Sonic bubbles in time
    author: Red Stone

Popping neural pathways and folding ribbons through sonic landscapes. These sounds soothe ancient limbic angst. Infinite space and parallel times. Architectured sound - something more than music: a fully engineered world behind closed eyes. This album is just short of visionary. I look forward to future Blue Tech.

  • Incredible! a New electronic 'standard'...
    author: Jeff B.

It has been easily a decade since I have heard such an incredible CD in the electronic/new age/alt rock genre as this one. From the first few minutes, I could tell this would be a favorite. It had the same effect on me as the first time I heard such classics as Ray Lynch, or Alan Parsons. You'll never hear this on commercial FM, but that is a shame because it is hard not to be affected by this beautiful, enchanting, carefully crafted masterpiece.

  • Hold that check to greenpeace, I'm buying Bluetech!

I've listened to a lot of chillout music. But once I heard the track "Leaving Winter Behind" from the album "Sines and Singularities" I was hooked on Bluetech. He has such a unique style and is so passionate about all of his music. It really shows. The entire album is solid, every track is a must. "Leaving Winter Behind" is the best track I've ever heard. First song that's hit me on a spirtual level. I love it.

  • Now my all-time favorite artist!!! AWESOME!!! 10 Stars.

I've been into electronica and chill for a many years, and heard a Bluetech song on a local radio's chill program and was hooked. I'm just bummed out that this CD is not available locally. I found Prima Meteria, but feel Sines and Singularities is much better. BEST disc I've ever heard! Nobody else comes close!

  • Has become one of my favorite artists

Every cut is great. The more I listen the more I find. All the bluetech recordings are excellent - and seem to get better with each new track. The pieces are complex and diverse, and still have a melodic quality that I find very satisfying.

  • One of the best electronic music albums
    author: Tim Jung

Every track is top notch quality. Incredibly balanced and dynamically sound. This overlooked, obscure album is easily one of the best ever made. 5/5.

  • Awesome!

Awesome! My first electronica album purchase. Well balanced, and great value for the money at over 78 minutes. A rousing bravo to Bluetech!
