notes
This CD was recorded "live" at the Attic Bar in Hamtramck, Michigan on New Year's Eve (12/31/98). It was a great party with some real-deal blues to bring in the new year. The artists that contributed to this CD include W.C. Handy Award Winner & Earwig recording artist, Johnny "Yard Dog" Jones, Detroit Blues Society Lifetime Achievement Award winners and JSP recording artists, The Butler Twins; No Cover's own Ms. Cathy Davis, Louisiana Heat, Detroit Blues Society Lifetime Achievement Award winner and No Cover artist, Willie "D" Warren; Detroit Blues Society Lifetime Achievement Award winner and Blues Factory recording artist, Uncle Jessie White. All of these artists are from the old-school of the blues, and several of them have left us since this recording was made. That is why this cd has become a documentry on Detroit blues and the Attic bar where most of these artists were regulars. It was a wonderful night and a great time was had by all!
