  • Why can't everybody sound this good ?
    author: Arty Hill

I heard these folks play together a couple years ago in Nashville, before they offfically became a "band." They knocked me out right from the start. (And btw, it's all right here in the sound samples.) Kevin is one of the very best guitar pickers and singers around; Donna is as rock solid a bass player as you'll ever hear; David's banjo playing is tasteful, driving, melodic, and his timing is impeccable; John's mandolin playing swings like a sonofagun, ala Sam Bush and Big Mon. Listen to the harmony here: how often do you hear singing nowadays that's this "on the money" ? Pretty much never. Somebody please sign these folks so they can make more CDs like this one !
