Aptly named, the sophomore effort, "Blurfly", showed a metamorphosis of this tough-but-talented act as the band moved from its '80s rock roots into a more thoughtful alt-pop realm.
When producers from a PBS special heard the sound, they knew they'd found the soundtrack to their new documentary film series ("The American Girls") and chose two songs - "Ocean" and "Lullaby" - as featured tracks for the program. The series aired nationally in the fall of 1999.
