notes

The band started as a three piece acoustic act playing our original music in The Bronx, and Massachussets. John Paul joined as Black Diamond's bassist and the band performed in New York City's Greenwich Village clubs in 1997.

In 1998 drummer Kevin joined the band. Now playing in the Westchester, NYC and Connecticut areas, we have expanded our repertoire to include some classic rock and blues tunes as well as our own new music and tracks from the CDs

  • Good Ole Rock and Roll!

When I first ran across Black Diamond a few years ago, I loved the songs Friends and The End is Just the Beginning. It's been a year or two since then and I find that I love those songs just as much or maybe even more now. Black Diamond plays excellent 70's tinged rock and roll, and they play it well. This CD is professional from start to finish and it's obvious that they put a lot of time and effort and heart into it. I think if Led Zeppelin were to tour today, Black Diamond would be the opening band they'd pick. The highlights on this CD are Friends, The End is Just the Beginning and Ain't no Sunshine (great sax playing!!). Black Diamond.... awesome!
